First Contact Physiotherapy (MSK) Services (FCP)

B-Well Health & Social Care Group is a leading national provider of First Contact Practitioner (FCP) services to the NHS from 2020. Our team of First Contact Practitioners delivers weekly First Contact Physio interventions, working with most Primary Care Networks (PCNs) across the UK. We provide specialist musculoskeletal services to NHS patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality care.

Services Offered by Our FCPs:

Our FCPs assist patients with musculoskeletal issues, such as back, neck, and joint pain, by:

  • Assessing and diagnosing conditions.
  • Offering expert advice on managing their conditions effectively.
  • Providing tailored exercise plans.
  • Referring patients for imaging (X-Ray/MRI/Ultrasound scans).
  • Recommending blood tests.
  • Suggesting appropriate medications for prescription.
  • Referring patients to specialist services, when necessary.
  • Referring patients to secondary healthcare services, e.g., Rheumatology or Orthopaedics, when needed.
Why Choose FCPs?

All our FCPs are HEE trained. They identify 'red flag' symptoms that may require urgent medical attention. They work closely with GP practices to ensure patients see the most suitable clinician as quickly as possible, aiming to reduce pain and improve functionality with shortest intervention possible. They play key role in supporting patients to gain faster access to diagnosis and physiotherapy treatment, empowering them to manage their conditions effectively and recover sooner. This helps patients return to normal life more quickly, while also enabling GPs to manage their medical urgent workload efficiently and thereby reducing the need for onward referrals mostly to secondary care.

How to Book an Appointment:

To book an appointment with FCPs, patients can contact their GP practice reception and request an FCP appointment.
